Schwartzman, Cipriano Set to Take the Goal Again
By Simon Kaufman
In 2013 the Outlaws allowed the fewest goals in the league in large part due to stellar goaltending.
Last season, Jesse Schwartzmanbecame the first goalie to win 14 games, leading an Outlaws to become the first MLL club to finish a season undefeated. He established a new league record with a 9.67 goals-against average, and also led the league in save percentage with a .597 mark. The former two-time All-American at Johns Hopkins University enters his eighth season with Denver. During that time, he’s been named to the All-MLL team twice and the MLL All-Star team six times.
CharlieCiprianowill again back up Schwartzman in the crease this season. He played a career-high 70:30 last year and saved 20-of-32 shots that came his way. Cipriano enters his third year with the Outlaws and was an All-American at Fairfield University before being drafted in 2012
