The Outlaws (6-1) will play host to the Chesapeake Bayhawks (2-5) on Saturday night at Sports Authority Field.

Denver owns the MLL’s best record while the Bayhawks have struggled this season and sit four games back in the standings.

The Outlaws are 9-4 against the Bayhawks’ franchise all time and have won the last two matchups between the two teams.

Denver is coming off a big win over the New York Lizards, helping the Outlaws bounce back from their only loss of the season a week earlier. Curtis Dickson — playing in just his second MLL game — racked up seven points on four goals and three assists. Drew Snider and Eric Law both had a hat trick in the 16-11 win.

“On the field (Dickson’s) been excellent,” Denver head coach B.J. O’Hara said. “I think he’s even going to get better as he gets used to going against a long stick — he hasn’t played against a long stick in quite a while. He’s started to figure that out and he’s able to get his shot off with a lot of pressure, which is nice to see.”

Chesapeake’s attack is headed by former Outlaw Brendan Mundorf. Mundorf who was the 2012 MLL MVP — was traded for current Outlaws John Grant Jr. and Michael Simon in 2013. Mundorf is tied for fourth in the league with 17 goals on the season and tied for fifth with 23 points.

Kip Turner will man the crease for the Bayhawks. Turner is allowing an average of 11.62 goals against per game and has a .553 save percentage.

“It’s going to be a fast-pace game,” Denver midfielder Jeremy Noble said. “It’s going to be a physical game. (The Bayhawks) are very competitive. Their record doesn't show it, but they got to start winning some games before this playoff push. They’re a very veteran team. They’re very experienced so they’re going to be a very tough opponent.”
