Outlaws vs. Lizards: Live Blog

The Denver Outlaws (9-0) are facing off against the New York Lizards (3-6) for the first time this season. When the two teams last met in the MLL Semifinals last year, the Outlaws notched a 13-12 come-from-behind win after trailing 8-2 at halftime.

First Quarter:
14:02: Stephen Peyser kicks off the scoring to give the Lizards a 1-0 lead.
13:42: New York's Greg Gurenlian scores a transition goal after winning the faceoff. New York 2, Denver 0.
13:17: Drew Snider answers to bring the Outlaws within one.
10:28: New York rookie Rob Pannell, who was selected to play in the MLL All-Star Game, scores off a Denver turnover. Michael Skudin with the assist. New York 3, Denver 1.
8:09: Former Outlaw Mark Matthews finds Steve Mock, who scores his first goal of the season to put the Lizards up 4-1.
4:28: Jesse Schwartzman makes his first save of the game.
3:35: Shot by Jeremy Sieverts saved by New York's Drew Adams.
1:54: Adams stops shot by Brendan Mundorf.
1:14: Eric Law scores off an assist from Chris Bocklet to pull the Outlaws within two goals.
0:09: Sieverts comes up with a big two-point powerplay goal to tie the game at four.
0:00: The two teams are heading into the second quarter tied at four.

Second Quarter:
11:14: Shot by Justin Turri saved by Adams.
8:19: Matt Bocklet nets his first goal since 2011 to give the Outlaws their first lead of the game. Denver 5, New York 4.
7:08: Snider tallies his second goal of the game off an assist from Zack Greer. Outlaws on 5-0 run.
5:04: Law finds Chris Bocklet, who fires one past Adams to put Denver up 7-4.
2:58: Shot by JoJo Marasco saved by Schwartzman.
1:37: Adams stops shot by Matt Bocklet.
0:00: The Outlaws have kept the Lizards off the scoreboard for 23:09. Denver leads 7-4 after its 6-0 run. The Outlaws' seven goals mark the team's lowest first-half scoring output at home this year.

Third Quarter:
14:00: Mundorf kicks off the second-half scoring off an assist from Greer, his second of the game.
12:24: Mundorf strikes again. Outlaws on 8-0 run.
9:55: Schwartzman stops shot by Peyser.
9:39: Mock, who scored New York's last goal, ends the Lizards 28:30 scoring drought. Denver 9, New York 5.
8:10: Adams saves shot by Turri.
5:21: Denver's Justin Pennington answers with his fourth goal of the season. Terry Kimener with the assist.
1:48: Schwartzman saves another shot by Peyser.
0:12: Schwartzman stops shot by Pannell.
0:01: Schwartzman makes long pass to Chris Bocklet, who fires his second goal of the game past Adams to put Denver up 11-5 heading into the final period.
0:00: Outlaws go into the fourth with an 11-5 lead.

Fourth Quarter:
13:32: Schwartzman saves another shot by Pannell.
12:37: Chris Bocklet completes a hat trick. Kimener with his second assist of the game. Outlaws lead 12-5.
9:28: Schwartzman with another save, stopping Tommy Palasek.
9:04: Bocklet scores his fourth of the game. Law with the assist.
7:49: Snider becomes the second Outlaw to complete a hat trick tonight. Denver on 13-1 run.
6:41: Chris Bocklet finds Law, who fires one past Adams. Charlie Cipriano replaces Schwartzman in net.
4:51: Rob Pannell finds the back of the net for the Lizards to put a hold on the Outlaws scoring run.
2:46: Rob Pannell scores again in less than two minutes. 15-7 Outlaws.
2:46: Attendance for tonight's game just announced... 31,019. That's a brand new Major League Lacrosse record.
2:01: Charlie Cipriano makes his first save of the night. Outlaws just minutes away from being the first team to start an MLL season 10-0.
0:25: Will Mangan puts the exclamation point on the game! Mangan becomes the 7th different scorer for the Outlaws tonight. Outlaws lead 16-7.
Final Score: Denver Outlaws 16, New York Lizards 7. The Outlaws become the first team in MLL history to begin a season with 10 straight wins.
