Week 2 Game Preview

This week, the Outlaws travel to Columbus to take on the 2nd year Ohio Machine. This will be Ohio's first game of the season and their home opener. The Outlaws are coming off a 21-16 win at Charlottle last weekend and are in the middle of a 3 game road trip to start the season.
This week, we'll see the return of the 2012 MVP, Brendan Mundorf, to the Outlaws. Mundorf spent the off-season recovering from the injury that kept him out of Championship Weekend, but was able to finish the indoor season with the NLL's Philly Wings. Their season came to an end last Saturday, so Mundorf will be joining the Outlaws in Ohio to try and get their second straight win in 2013.
With the team’s Week 1 win at Charlotte, the Outlaws have matched the franchise’s longest regular season winning streak at seven games.
The Outlaws are 2-0 all time against the Machine, winning both contests last season in the Machine's inaugural season.
The Machine will look to sophomore Steele Stanwick to lead the offense. In his rookie season, Stanwick had 11 goals and 17 assists in just 9 games. Veteran Chazz Woodson is also returning to the team. Woodson, who led the team in goals last season, is definitely someone the Outlaws will need to figure out early in this game. The Machine struggled with goal-tending last season and it is unclear who their starter will be come Saturday.
Expect the Outlaws to take advantage early, with Mundorf back in the lineup and Chris Bocklet coming off a 6-goal game last week. However, Ohio has a solid defensive core with Max Schmidt, Greg Bice and Ray Megill that will try and keep the Outlaws scoring in check. We should expect another exciting game from the Outlaws this weekend. The game starts at 6pm MDT and you can watch the game exclusively on YouTube at YouTube.com/MLL or follow along here at the Outlaws Lowdown for the live blog.
